I enjoy John August’s blog. And his podcast with Craig Mazin. Those two are sort of geniuses at discussing screenwriting. John posted a thing about a book and an infoporn remix of part of that book. I encourage you to go read John’s post and the remix.
The thing about being caught between worlds, as I am, is that you find that all the hours of a day could never be enough. You have to prune. I think that perhaps genius is the marriage of early discovery of the right branch and a natural inclination to prune. Everyone is a genius, or so the genius (supposedly) said. You just have to match particular minds with particular domains. Finding those shears challenges some of us more than others, I suppose.
