I dislike Rob Ford for any number of reasons, but this article really hits it out of the park – Ford is the consequence of a wider change in the country. It boggles my mind to think he could be in such a position, but Toronto’s political scene is ridiculously mismatched with its task in general. The size of the municipality exceeds that for which the “personal politics” school makes any sense.
