I posted a while back about my experiments with vegan food options, and one of the things that I mentioned there was that vegan yogurts weren’t making me happy.
Today I learned, to my delight, that at least one company, Riviera, has figured that out. Not only have they figured it out, but their Vegan Delight yogurt alternative is made with oats, which are among the lowest-impact foods available. And it’s gluten-free, which is important to me personally.
I don’t have a lot more to add, really. This is a great smoothie, and I imagine I’ll never voluntarily use a dairy-based yogurt in my smoothie again.
I’d still like to know more about the processing footprint of this yogurt alternative, of course. I don’t know nearly enough about that side of things. But I’m really glad to have found it.
